Ann Haley Fromholz

Expert employment attorney Ann Fromholz has a background of hundreds of investigations, 30+ years of experience, and extensive training and certification. She conducts sensitive investigations into allegations of workplace misconduct, including sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, code of conduct breaches, and privacy breaches for public and private employers.

Ann serves as an expert witness for plaintiffs and defendants on Human Resources and employment law related subjects, including workplace investigations, accommodation of disabilities, Human Resources practices, and employee classification.

Ann represents select clients in employment litigation in state and federal court. She has litigated for her entire career and has represented individuals and companies in a full range of employment matters, from harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases to wage/hour and contract matters.

Ann also advises individuals and businesses on executive compensation matters, including stock options, bonus plans, commission plans, employment contracts, severance plans, and separation negotiations.

When she is not working, Ann dedicates her time to helping her community. She works with Public Counsel’s Audrey Irmas Gender Justice Project, the Los Angeles County also serves on the board of the Pasadena chapter of National Charity League. In 2013, Ann co-founded the mock trial team at Animo Pat Brown Charter High School in Los Angeles’ Florence-Firestone District and she co-coached the team from 2013 to 2018.

Florencia Albert

Florencia’s legal experience rests on 30+ years in employment law, with nearly 15 of those years incorporating family law, wills and trusts, and mediation of litigated and pre-litigation disputes. As an employment lawyer, Florencia has represented both employers and employees in all employment matters from advising on policies and procedures, and conducting interactive compliance training, to investigating and litigating discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour issues.

As she has expanded her practice in the last ten years to include working with individuals and families in personal matters at the core of people’s lives, Florencia has helped protect clients in domestic violence matters, litigated their divorces and drafted estate plans. Her compassion for people experiencing life’s greatest challenges allows her to identify clients’ most pressing needs and find the best way to protect them.

In addition to private practice, Florencia has served as a volunteer mediator and volunteer judge for the Los Angeles Superior Court and as a board member for local nonprofit organizations. Florencia is a bilingual native Spanish speaker.

Sue McDermott Mercer

With over 25 years of experience in managing cases for Fortune 500 companies, national corporations and small businesses, Sue has a well-earned reputation as an effective negotiator on employer/employee disputes, especially those involving union and guild disagreements.

Sue has used her experience as an employment litigator as the basis for her work in workplace and school based investigations. She has handled sensitive and complex investigations for a wide range of firm clients and clients routinely return to her when they have new issues that merit an investigation.

She has successfully represented over 350 production companies in the entertainment industry in a variety of labor disputes, has advised high-level studio and network executives and management teams on the interpretation of over 80 industry-wide collective bargaining agreements, and has prepared and argued motions for the landmark Sheppard v. Freeman case.

Previously, Sue worked Preston Gates & Ellis and Buchalter Nemer and tried wrongful termination and whistleblower cases.
